"The Crown of the Continent."
For this project, I was tasked in creating three icons that represented Glacier National Park and what the park as to offer. The most important part of this project was to design the marks that represented the park and were unified. To achieve this unification, line color, positive and negative space, typeface, and subject were taken into consideration.
These icons are based on three separate aspects of the park: activities found in the park, the environment of the park, and the wildlife found in the park. Each icon was created with bold, thick and simple shapes. This helps with readability of the icons and displays the bold character the park has. Each icon also contains a floral shape to encompass the main graphic. This both unifies the icons and pays homage to the abundant wildflower fields found throughout this park.
